Types of Project Requests
eForms and Document Storage
- Optimize a workflow, build user-friendly eforms, or enhance an existing form.
- Choose the University forms platform that is right for you.
Enterprise
- Implement or upgrade University-wide systems to make significant impacts to core business functionality, data integrations, and process improvements.
Operations
- Implement applications to improve business operations and user experience for select departments.
PeopleSoft and Oracle
- Enhancements and upgrades to ERP systems including Campus Solutions, Oracle Financials Cloud (OFC), and Human Capital Management (HCM).
Web and Mobile
- Create custom applications, such as myBoiseState, that provide creative, powerful functionality to end users and fill gaps in existing tools and systems.

Project Request Intake
- PMO Project Request form
- ITPC (Information Technology Planning Committee)
- State/federal or university mandates
Discovery
- Conduct stakeholder interviews
- Complete business case
- Score and size project
- Determine if this should be a project or if another solution meets the business needs
Add Project to the Prioritization Matrix and Roadmap
- Review with OIT resource managers
- Review project prioritization and roadmap drafts
- Provide business case details
- Discuss availability and confirm commitments for project resources
- Resources could include development, accounts, security, communications, operations, support services, etc.
Develop Quarterly Project Roadmap
- PMO updates roadmap based on prioritization, resources, and deadlines
- Review project roadmap with OIT executives
- Project roadmap to OIT leadership, ITPC, and executive team for awareness
