Quarterly Project Prioritization Process

1. Project Request Intake- PMO Project Request Form
- ITPC
- State/federal or University mandates
2. Discovery- Conduct stakeholder interviews
- Complete business case
- Scope and size project
- Determine if this should be a project or another solution meets the business needs
- Add project to the prioritization matrix and roadmap
3. Review with OIT Resource Managers- Review project prioritization and roadmap drafts
- Provide business case details
- Discuss availability and confirm commitments for project resources
- Resources could include development, accounts, security, communications, ops, customer care
4. Develop Quarterly Project Roadmap- PMO updates roadmap based on prioritization, resources, and deadlines
- Review project roadmap with CIO and DCIO for approval
- Provide roadmap to OIT Leadership, ITPC, and Executive Team for awareness
5. Project Planning Begins- Assign PMO resources
- Organize project team and stakeholders
- Begin project processes
