Build a base for your bachelor’s degree while exploring your interests with the Boise State Online Degree Pathway (ODP). The affordable, foundational credits earned through the pathway are the first step to obtaining your degree whenever and wherever you’re ready.
The Pathway
The Online Degree Pathway is a practical start to your education regardless of where or what you plan on studying. Through ODP, you earn foundational credits, like math, English or a social science, to transition seamlessly to any Boise State on-campus or online degree program or another accredited university.
ODP is a 100% online pathway to your degree through which you can earn foundational credits applicable for any undergraduate Boise State degree.
Available for everyone
The Online Degree Pathway is intentionally designed to fill any existing gaps in your foundational courses before beginning a fully online degree program. Taylor Huffman, a Student Success Coach, said, “ODP makes it easier to get students into Boise State no matter where they’re at in their education, they don’t have to worry about the transfer process.”

If you take the majority of your classes in-person but prefer to take online foundational courses, you can use the Online Degree Pathway as well. Or, if you know you want to get a degree but are unsure what to study, the Online Degree Pathway gives you the chance to find your interests while fulfilling the required foundation for every major. Huffman said, “the pathway is a bridge program meant to meet students where they’re at.” Through the ODP program, you can complete foundational course requirements, complete your associate degree or use the program to explore higher education opportunities in a flexible and supportive environment.

Get started when you’re ready
Interested in Boise State’s Online Degree Pathway? ODP has two starts per semester making it easier for you to decide when the time is right. Most classes are also offered in a 7-week format so you can focus on one or two classes at a time. Whether you are navigating life after high school, finding time in your busy life or balancing military service on top of being a student, ODP is made to work for you.
