Admissions

To be considered for the Online Master of Business Administration + Cyber Emphasis, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or higher. Applicants with a 2.75-3.00 GPA may be considered for provisional admission. Applicants with a GPA lower than 2.75 may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Two years of significant, full-time management experience.
• No GMAT  or GRE required to apply.

Tuition and Scholarships

The Boise State Online MBA + cyber emphasis offers reasonably priced tuition, ongoing support, financial aid options and degree paths that help ensure you reach your goals quickly and efficiently.

Without Scholarship

The following table is an example of the total program cost for a student completing the 49 credits required to graduate with a Master in Business Administration without a scholarship.

With $5,500 Scholarship

The following table is an example of the total program cost for a student completing the 49 credits required to graduate with a Master in Business Administration with a $5,500 scholarship.

*The per-credit fees listed in the table are for the 2023-24 academic year. Future academic year per-credit fees may vary slightly and are finalized each May. 

***Costs for room, board and transportation are used to calculate financial aid and are included to disclose the full cost of attendance. These costs are not required for students pursuing a fully online degree.

Notice: Boise State and other Idaho higher education employees: fee waivers do not apply to this program.

Scholarships

All scholarships offer the same discount — 15% off tuition, saving students about $5,500. The 15% discount is applied incrementally to each course a student enrolls in; it cannot be applied all at once. Discounts and scholarships may not be combined.

Courses

The Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) + Cyber Emphasis is a 49-credit program that includes the following:

• Required Courses – 37 credits
• Cyber Emphasis Courses – 12 credits

The program can be completed in as little as 12 months when attending full-time. Seven-week courses allow you to take one class at a time with a part-time schedule. With the Online MBA + Cyber Emphasis, you’ll benefit from cross-disciplinary education from the College of Business and Economics and the College of Engineering.

Cyber Emphasis Requirements

Take one 3-credit required cyber course and choose 9 credits from the list of cyber course options in the following table. You have the flexibility to take any combination of courses from the list or combine courses to add a certificate to your degree. Certificate options include Analyst and Threat Intelligence, Resilience Engineering and Governance Policy Administration. For more information, please reach out to a student success coach.
