LED Lighting Upgrade Project

LED lighting upgrade projects are happening all around campus. The exterior lights from Barnes Towers through the Quad are being upgraded to new LED fixtures and a number of buildings are also having their interior lights changed out.

The images below show a building interior before the LED upgrade (top image) and after (bottom image).

Our Facilities, Operations and Maintenance team is working their way around campus, a building at a time, replacing less-efficient fixtures. All new buildings will have LED lights as standard.

The LED lights last up to six times longer and use half as much energy as the fluorescent bulbs they are replacing, offering a significant savings in maintenance and energy costs for the university.

The table below lists which buildings currently have LED lighting.
