All new policy proposals and policy revisions must comply with the University’s Policy Development Authority policy (University Policy 1000) and go through a unified development/revision process prior to seeking approval and adoption as University policy from the President. Different process steps are involved depending on whether a new policy is being developed, an existing policy is being substantively revised, non-substantively edited (routine technical edit or review), or the policy applies to faculty.

New Policy Request
New policy development must be initiated by completing a New Policy Request Form submitted to the Policy Office at: policyinfo@boisestate.edu or online at: New Policy Request Forms should be submitted for review by the Policy Office, in consultation with relevant office or Responsible Parties (as needed). The Policy Office will notify the policy initiator once the New Policy Request Form is reviewed.
