CT Prerequisites

The applicant must be either a registered radiologic technologist in good standing with the ARRT or a student completing the final semester of their Radiologic Science training at the time of application. Added consideration will be given to the student who has completed the Diagnostic Radiographer Degree from Boise State University or an equivalent program. In addition, the following are required:

  • A cumulative GPA of 2.7 or above
  • Submit program application by October 16 or March 1 to include $20 application fee, three closed letters of reference, copies of transcripts, and resume
  • Completion of the general prerequisite course work or equivalent:
    • ENGL 101-102 Writing and Rhetoric I, II 6 credits
    • MATH 143 College Algebra (FM) 3 credits OR MATH 170 Calculus I (FM) 3 credits or ACT of 27
    • MATH 254 (FM) Statistical Methods OR MATH 153 Statistical Reasoning 3 credits
    • BIOL 227 (FN) – 228 Anatomy & Physiology I and II, 8 credits
    • HLTH 101 Medical Terminology 3 credits
    • CHEM 101 & 101L Essentials of Chemistry I with Lab (FN) 4 credits OR CHEM 111 and 111L, General Chemistry with Lab (FN) 4 credits
    • Foundations of Humanities (FH) OR Foundations of Arts (FA) 3 credits
    • COMM 101 (FC) Foundations of Oral Communication 3 credits
    • PSYC 101 General Psychology (FS) OR SOC 101 Intro to Sociology (FS) 3 credits
    • Computer competency demonstration (or successful completion of the COBE Computer Placement Exam for Word Processing, Spreadsheet, & Database sections) 0-3 credits
    • Attend personal interview, if invited

* Students unable to prove they have passed the ARRT registry by the first day of the Fall semester will be removed from the CT program and all CT courses in which they may be registered.
