Every April, Boise State proudly celebrates the diverse research and creative scholarship happening at the university as part of Research and Creative Activity Month.
During this month, faculty and students engage in special events, exhibit their research and celebrate the tremendous creativity and ingenuity of our community’s research and scholarly efforts.

Featured Events
Join fellow Boise State faculty, research staff and industry partners to celebrate at this year’s social event “Showcasing Projects and Research Creativity” (SPARC) Mixer – Health and Resilience Edition.
At the SPARC Mixer, the Office of Technology Transfer will also be honoring achievements from the past year, from first-time inventors to those receiving patents. We celebrate their milestones and the impact of their work.
Light refreshments will be available and the event will offer a cash bar.
This special event will be on April 3, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Keith and Catherine Stein Luminary.

- April 1, 2 and 4: Coffee and Qualitative Research in the Albertsons Library, second floor College of Innovation and Design space. Register for times.
- April 3: Fan Art Exhibit Opening Reception from 4 to 6 p.m. in Albertsons Library. The exhibit will be open to view during the entire month of April.
- April 3: Views from Industry on Challenges and Policy Priorities for Permitting and Siting Mining in Idaho, hosted by the Energy Policy Institute from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Zoom. Registration here.
- April 4: Daydreaming in the Solar System: Exploring the Planets with our Five Senses from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Liberal Arts Building, Room 106.
- April 8: Workshop on Communicating Your Research from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Brink Room of the Student Union Building.
- April 9: Graduate Student Showcase from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Jordan Ball Room of the Student Union Building.
- April 10: Neuroscience Day from noon to 5 p.m. in the Stueckle Sky Center.

- April 18: “Who Owns the Code”, a presentation on the legal implications when AI produces code. Hosted by the School of Computing. Event details to follow.
