Note to CIP-admitted Students:

Commitment

The Community Impact Programs certificate is an investment by Boise State, communities and students into developing rural Idahoan leaders. CIP students are expected to actively participate in all courses and to utilize their enhanced leadership skills to enhance their community.

Time

The 2024-2025 CIP cohort lasts two semesters (Fall and Spring.) Community-based in-person courses are conducted twice a semester on a Friday and Saturday which may require time away from work and family. Dates will be provided prior to the cohort start. We respect the time you commit to this and take great responsibility in providing incredible value in return.

Employers

CIP certificate is a leadership and professional development program and students are encouraged to work with their employer to compensate for time away. A letter of acceptance to the program is provided to each student to give to employers.
