Note to CIP-admitted Students:

Commitment

The Community Impact Programs certificate is an investment by Boise State, communities and students into developing rural Idahoan leaders. CIP students are expected to actively participate in all courses and to utilize their enhanced leadership skills to enhance their community.

Time

The CIP certificate program lasts three semesters (Fall, Spring, and Summer.) Community-based in-person courses are conducted once a semester on a Friday and Saturday which requires time away from work and family. Every date is provided on this page so that before you join the program you can deconflict your schedule in advance. We respect the time you commit to this and take great responsibility in providing incredible value in return.

Employers

CIP certificate is a leadership and professional development program and students are encouraged to work with their employer to compensate for time away. A letter of acceptance to the program is provided to each student to give to employers.
