Below you will find a list of current local and state private scholarships with online applications.

New scholarships are added as we become aware of them. Check this site frequently.

Boise State University does not endorse any specific web site and is not responsible for the content on the various web sites. We ask companies and organizations to register with a national scholarship search website.

We also list information on the bulletin board outside of the Financial Aid Office, Room 124 in the Administration Building.

The Lightfoot Foundation Scholarship. The Lightfoot Foundation is a non-profit organization helping Treasure Valley students wishing to further their education. Their scholarship application is open from 3/1 to 4/15 annually. Please visit the Lightfoot Foundation website at http://lightfootfoundation.com/ to apply.April 15 (Annually)
Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants-The Idaho Society of CPAs is currently accepting applications for scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year. Up to two, $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to graduate students and Up to two, $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students05/31/2022
SIPES Foundation Scholarship- Applications are accepted each year from upper-division and graduate students majoring in any earth science, geophysics, petroleum or geological engineering who are attending a U.S.-based university or college, have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and are U.S. Citizens.06/14/2022
Dickey's Scholarship Program- The Dickey’s Barbecue Scholarship Program is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to 3 lucky students who meet all the requirements set in place. Students will be recognized for all their capacity and hard work with an opportunity to lead and serve. The scholarship from Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will grant these 3 students with $1,000 toward their college tuition. 07/15/2022
Allied Van Lines-Allied Van Lines, one of the leading moving companies in America, is excited to offer a 2022 scholarship program aimed at students whose area of study focuses on logistics and moving-related fields. Workpuls-The Workpuls scholarship program is open to students who are currently enrolled in technical, IT, or non-technical (e.g. marketing or business) programs with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Beyond that, you should have ideas and plans for making your mark and positively influencing the tech industry. May 31 and November 30th (Annually)
Reef2Leaf Scholarship by Wildhorn-Students must be enrolled in classes for Fall 2022. Students will write an essay about ideas they have for aquatic conservation.07/01/2022

Idaho Gem Club Scholarship-Applicants must be a full time, undergraduate student majoring or minoring in Earth science (including geology, geophysics, and earth science education) at a two- or four-year college or university in the Treasure Valley region of Idaho.09/30/2022

Matched Education Savings Account (MESA) - Credit unions are stepping up to help students achieve their educational aspirations through a partnership known as the Matched Education Savings Account (MESA). MESA bridges the gap by matching a student’s education savings 3:1. Program participants can turn $500 into $1,500 and apply the funds toward books and tuition.Varies

National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation- In addition to our general scholarships of $2,500, multiple private individuals and donors have invested in the future of the restaurant industry by providing resources for scholarships to students like you. Criteria for each named scholarship is unique and awards can range from $2,500 to $10,000. Army ROTC- offers scholarships and financial assistance to qualified students. Those who receive scholarships and financial assistance will have a virtually guaranteed job as a leader in the US Army upon graduation. Available scholarships and financial assistance can include up to full tuition and fees for Boise State, funds for books, plus a monthly stipend.
