Emma Eason (German BA, Dec ’22) has been selected to be a Key volunteer  at the upcoming Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, Germany (June 17-25, 2023). Her knowledge of German and her ten years of experience working with students with disabilities helped her get this unique position.

Emma states that as Key volunteer she will be in charge of one hotel’s guests; specifically that means she keeps athletes, partners, and parents apprised of their agendas for the day and how to get where they need to go.  She will also attend the opening and closing ceremonies, which will be at the Olympiastadion–the largest stadium (74,000 seats) in Germany.
