Winter Commencement 2022

Winter Commencement is on Saturday, December 17, with two ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Information for Faculty

Winter commencement is fast approaching, and we are thrilled to be able to come together to celebrate all of the accomplishments of Boise State graduates. This opportunity comes twice a year, and for those in the ceremonies, these celebrations mark the culmination of years of hard work for both students and faculty, as well as the beginning of exciting new chapters. Everyone in the campus community strives to make this event memorable and to commemorate the hard work and dedication on display.

To properly recognize our graduates, we want to encourage robust participation s of the faculty in each department. After two years of scaled-back recognition, we know faculty and staff are as eager to be there as we are. 

Please complete the Winter Commencement 2022 Faculty Participation Form (you will need to log into your Boise State account to do so). This will help the commencement committee know who to expect and allocate the right amount of parking and space for each group. For our students, this is the most important day of their collegiate careers. We hope you will come celebrate with them.

Volunteer Information

Support from our campus community as we recognize graduates is vital to the success of commencement, and some of the most important support comes in the form of volunteers. To pull off two ceremonies, and the associated gatherings, rehearsals, preparation work and clean-up, we operate volunteer hours in shifts so that no one has to work all day. 

Classified staff are paid overtime for hours worked (above 40 hours for the week) and event staff will provide food and drinks throughout the day. We welcome anyone interested in helping us make this exciting day successful.
