Guided Campus Tours

Our campus runs along the banks of the Boise River, just a quick walk from the heart of Idaho’s largest city. Join us for a 90-minute walking tour of campus where your tour guide will detail life as a Bronco. From popular study spaces, to residence halls, to involvement opportunities and beyond, you will get an inside look at the Boise State experience.

When Can I Visit Campus?

We provide guided tours of campus hosted by current student tour guides Monday-Friday. We also host occasional Saturday visits throughout the year. View our visit calendar for availability and to register for your tour. Interested in visiting on your own? Check out our Self-Guided Tour!

Who Can Attend A Campus Visit?

Our Guided Campus Tours are designed for prospective undergraduate students and their families or guests. Students at any stage of the college search process are welcome to attend.

Prospective graduate students may also participate in a campus visit, though we recommend contacting your intended academic department for more program-specific information. You can connect with our Graduate Admissions Office.

Independent educational consultants, faculty/staff members, or individuals not seeking enrollment should email visitus@boisestate.edu for alternative tour options.

Who Leads The Guided Tours?

Our Guided Campus Tours are led by Student Recruitment Specialists, who are current Boise State students. They are excited to share about their experiences, resources on campus, and answer your questions. Curious about who they are? Learn more about our current team!

Will This Be A Private Tour?

Guided Campus Tours are open to all prospective students and their families and are not private. Tour groups may include up to 25 guests per tour guide.

Where Do I Park When I Visit Campus?

We provide complimentary parking in the Lincoln Garage, located south of the Student Union Building, for registered visitors. Parking instructions will be included in your confirmation email.

How Do I Cancel My Visit To Boise State?

Can I Tour The Residence Halls?

Boise State is excited to welcome over 15,000 visitors to campus each year! To minimize disruptions and to respect the privacy of our students, tour groups are unable to go inside residence halls with the exclusion of a few events each year. We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to check out our Housing and Residence Life website for pictures, videos and information regarding your Residence Hall options.

Can I Make Arrangements To Stay On Campus Overnight?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate overnight guests. Boise State partners with several local hotels to offer discounted rates for visitors.

Will I Be Able To Meet With An Admissions Counselor, The Honors College Or A Representative From My Academic Area Of Interest?

We are able to assist you in scheduling a meeting with your admissions counselor or a representative from your academic area of interest either virtually or in-person.

The Honors College hosts both virtual and in-person information sessions weekly. You can view availability and register for Honors College sessions.

Do You Offer Any Virtual Visits?

Yes! We have created virtual visit options designed to meet your needs. From the Future Student Session, to Tips for Transfers, to our Next Steps series, you are bound to find what you need to get your questions answered and better understand the culture that exists at Boise State.

I’m A Teacher Or Counselor Planning A Tour For A Group Of My Students. How Can I Arrange That?

We offer group visit programs specifically for K-8 students and 9-12 students each semester. You can view upcoming group visit dates. Due to staffing and high demand from high school seniors, we are unable to accommodate additional group visits outside of these scheduled dates.

Will I Be Able To See The Blue Turf At Albertsons Stadium?

During your campus tour, our tour guides will make sure to  share details about our famous Blue Turf! Pending availability, we may be able to bring you into the Allen Noble Hall of Fame, which provides a great view of the famous Blue Turf.

How Can I Meet With A Coach From Boise State Athletics?

If you are interested in learning more about our Division 1 Athletics, coaches’ information and recruiting forms can be found on our Boise State Athletics website.

Do You Provide Complimentary Tickets To Sporting Events For Campus Visitors?

Tickets for Boise State athletic events may be purchased through the Boise State Athletic Ticket website. For ticket-related inquiries, please contact the Ticket Office at ticketoffice@boisestate.edu.

COME PREPARED

  • Check the weather, bring a bottle of water, wear sunscreen, and lace up your comfiest walking shoes.
  • You will be able to park in the Lincoln Parking Garage free of charge. Parking instructions will be included in your confirmation email. Please note your license plate number on the day of your visit.
  • Arrive on time. Allow yourself plenty of time to park and navigate to the Admissions Office (located on the first floor of the Student Union Building). .
  • Check-in will take place at the Admissions Office which is located inside of the Student Union Building – follow the Campus Tour signs to our check-in station.
