Program Requirements

To be considered for program admission, you should have:

  • Completed an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Not already earned a bachelor’s degree.

Application Deadlines by Semester

Admission is offered each fall, spring, and summer semester.

Admission Process

Step 1 – Apply to Boise State University

Submit the Boise State University Undergraduate Admissions Application online.

  • In the Semester and Major section of the application, select;
    • For On Campus:
      • Bachelors of Applied Science – Evening/Weekend – Jr/Sr Standing
    • For Online:
      • Bachelors of Applied Science – Evening/Weekend/Online Programs – Jr/Sr Standing
  • With either selection you can choose the following delivery options;
    • Primarily on the main campus
    • Primarily at an off-campus location
    • Primarily during the  evening or weekend
    • Entirely through online

Step 2 – Request Official Transcripts

Request your official transcript(s) from all previous colleges and universities you attended.

Step 3 – Meet with a Student Success Coach

Schedule an appointment with a Student Success Coach today

  • During this meeting, your Student Success Coach will:
    • Review the materials you submitted
    • Share information about how credits transfer to Boise State
    • Ask you to discuss your academic and professional goals

Step 4 – Apply to Bachelor of Applied Science Program

After you are admitted to Boise State University, the next step is for you to complete the Personal Impact Statement. An important aspect of our program is self-reflection. Obtaining a bachelor’s degree is a difficult and rewarding process! Consider the Personal Impact Statement your purpose statement as to why you will finish your degree.

Step 5 – Complete the Boise State Scholarship Application

All Multidisciplinary Studies students are encouraged to apply for scholarships to help fund their education.

Step 6 – Complete New Student Orientation & Advising

After you are admitted to the BAS program, flex or online pathway, directions on how to complete a new student orientation online will be provided.

Once you complete orientation online, you will meet with an academic advisor. The meeting usually lasts 30 minutes and will occur over the phone, through video chat, or in-person. During this meeting, you and your advisor will discuss:

  • Your goals for completing the program
  • Review how your credits transfer to Boise State.
  • Guide you through course registration.

Admission Decision

You will be accepted into the Bachelor of Applied Science Program if you meet the following criteria:

Regular Admission

  • Completed an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Admitted to Boise State University.

Conditional Admission

  • Finishing an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) from a regionally accredited college or university. Your degree must be earned prior to the start of classes for the semester you are applying.
  • Admitted to Boise State University.
