- In the Semester and Major section of the application, select your academic area of interest from the major drop-down list.
Reminder: Students are required to meet with a student success coach before being admitted to the program.
Step 2: Request Official Transcripts
Contact the registrar offices of all the universities and colleges that you’ve attended to obtain transcripts that can be emailed to Boise State. You can also get a copy for yourself to reference.
If you have served in the military, please make sure to send your Joint Services Transcript and/or Community College of the Air Force transcript.
Step 3: Apply to the Applied Science Program
After you are admitted to Boise State University, you will receive directions on how to complete a new student orientation.
After new student orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor for a 30-minute meeting over the phone, video chat or in person. You will discuss your goals for completing the program, review how your credits transfer to Boise State and go through course registration.
Next, submit your personal impact statement. This serves as your application to the program. Your statement should reflect serious thought and be an example of the level of writing aptitude you plan to deliver during your academic courses.
Within your personal impact statement, you are asked to choose an online emphasis area in business administration, cyber operations essentials, early childhood education, health administration, project management, foundations of public health or resort and hospitality management — OR — the top three concentrations you wish to pursue. Choosing an emphasis area or concentration helps you customize your degree based on your goals.
Reminder: While most emphasis areas are only available for students taking classes 100% online, some are hybrid and may require a combination of in-person and online coursework.
