Appointment Policies

Late Policy

Please be on time to your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment you will be asked to reschedule. If you know you will be late, please call us at (208) 426-1747 and will do our best to accommodate.

No Show Policy

If you know you will be missing your appointment, please cancel the appointment in Handshake before the scheduled start time of the appointment. If you are unable to do so, please contact our front desk at (208) 426-1747, or contact the staff member you are scheduled to meet with directly.

Double-Booking Policy

Handshake does not allow students to book a second appointment prior to completing a first appointment. This is to ensure that all students have equitable access to our services. If you believe you need more than the allotted 50-minute appointment, you may request one with the staff member you are working with, or submit a request to which will be reviewed and considered. In your request, please provide adequate reasoning for an extended appointment and/or multiple appointments. If you would like to set up a recurring weekly appointment, this can be scheduled without an additional approval process. Reasonable recurring appointments should have no less than 5 business days between appointments. To set up a reasonable schedule of recurring appointments please contact our front desk at (208) 426-1747, or in person at Career Services.
