Exams and Checkups

Medical Services provides a wide variety of exams and checkups

What’s the difference?

Physical Exam

Some people need a physical exam for medical clearance for:

  • Sports participation
  • Missionary work (i.e. LDS Mission)
  • Peace Corps
  • Graduate school
  • Study abroad

Checkup

A checkup is when you see your medical provider to get up to date on recommended screenings, vaccines, etc. appropriate for your age and gender.  A checkup may include:

  • A head to toe physical exam
  • Sexually transmitted infection testing
  • Skin cancer screening
  • Pap smear (for women ages 21-65)
  • Vaccines
  • Blood tests (cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid, etc.)

Our Medical Services Providers follow recommendations from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) to make sure that you have the most up to date health care screening done.

Enter your information, print the recommendations, and bring them to your checkup!
