When will the application for Sophomore and Above Students open for Fall 2023 – Spring 2024 open?

The Sophomore and Above Housing application has been closed due to technical difficulties. Few students were able to complete their application to success. Check back here for updates regarding next steps for Sophomore and Above Housing at Boise State.

Where can I find the application once it opens?

The application will be located on your Housing Portal. To access the portal, you will login using your My.BoiseState username and password. If you have trouble logging in, please reach out to the Help Desk for assistance.

Are there any fees that will need to be paid when I fill out the application?

Yes, there is a $75 non-refundable application fee. The application fee is due to complete the application.

Where can I find upcoming dates that I will need to know for the application process?

To track upcoming deadlines, keep an eye on our Important Dates for updates regarding Community Assignments, Roommate Matching, Cancellation Dates, etc.

Is there a potential that I could be put on a waitlist for on-campus housing?

Due to limited availability, we cannot guarantee on-campus housing to everyone who applies. Housing is available on a first come first served basis. The sooner you apply, the better your chances are of receiving an assignment. Spaces fill up fast!

What are the options for Sophomore and Above Housing?

We have three options for Sophomore and Above Housing:

Pricing for the Fall 23 – Spring 24 Academic year has not been finalized. Please use the Fall 22- Spring 23 rates as a reference, and check back for updates later this Spring.

I am transferring to Boise State University starting in the Fall, do I fill out the Sophomore and Above application or First Year application?

The qualifications for the Sophomore and Above application includes:

  • At least 20 years of age OR
  • If you are 19 and are in Sophomore standing (minimum 26 credits)

If you meet one of the following qualifications, you would fill out and submit the Sophomore and Above application.

If I am put on the waitlist for Sophomore and Above housing, where can I look for off-campus options?

We do have some off-campus recommendations for students. Our partnership with College Pads allows students to see apartments in the area and meet potential roommates in a safe environment. You can also visit our Off-Campus Marketplace for more information about some of the apartments in the area.
