Zoom is not using your university data to train AI

On August 7, Zoom updated its terms of service to state that it does not use any customer audio, video, or chat content for training AI “without consent.”

Zoom later clarified on August 11 that it was again updating its terms of service to confirm that “Zoom does not use any of your audio, video, chat, screen-sharing, attachments, or other communications like customer content (such as poll results, whiteboard, and reactions) to train Zoom’s or third-party artificial intelligence models.”

Boise State University’s agreement with Zoom supersedes new terms of service, and the university has no plans to opt in, now or in the future, to allow the use of university data for training AI.
