The Office of Information Technology is transitioning to a new VPN (Virtual Private Network) client. GlobalProtect will now be used to connect to the Boise State VPN network instead of Cisco AnyConnect.

Get Started with Global Protect

  • Visit our webpage for download links and instructions to install the client and connect to VPN.
  • Or, if you’d rather not install the software yourself, the Help Desk will deploy the client to OIT-supported computers beginning September 16. This process could take up to two weeks to reach all machines. Check your “recently added” software list or search your computer for GlobalProtect. Visit our webpage for instructions on how to connect.

Once the new client is installed on your computer, please use GlobalProtect to connect to VPN.

Connections using Cisco AnyConnect will be available through October 15, but we encourage you to use the new GlobalProtect VPN client the next time you need to connect.
