How to Clear or Refresh Your Web Browser Cache

Updates to Boise State systems accessed through web browsers may require resetting or clearing your browser’s cache.

The browser cache is a temporary storage location on your computer for files downloaded by your web browser. These files are used to help display web page content.

Here are links to instructions for clearing the cache in supported web browsers.

Google Chrome

Visit Google’s website to learn how to clear cache and cookies in Chrome. (Note the default setting for clearing cache in Chrome is “…from the past hour.” Be sure to choose the option for “…from the beginning of time” to make sure the cache is fully cleared.)

Safari
