Scope and Audience

This policy applies to all undergraduate students.

1. Policy Purpose

To establish policy for the proportion of credits students must take at Boise State University.

2. Policy Statement

Boise State University is committed to the success of its students by ensuring students complete the required number of credits at Boise State to earn a certificate, associate, or baccalaureate degree.

3. Responsibilities and Procedures

The Registrar’s Office is responsible for monitoring and enforcing this policy.

a. Students completing a certificate must complete at least seven (7) credits at Boise State University.

b. Students completing an associate degree must complete at least fifteen (15) credits at Boise State University.

c. Students completing a baccalaureate degree must complete at least thirty (30) upper division credits at Boise State University.
