Serve The Community
You want to make a difference. Do something that matters. A worthy goal, and a value that Boise State stands behind and fully supports. You’ll find a number of ways to do that during your time here. Here are just a few starting points.
Alternative Breaks
Alternative Breaks are service trips during academic breaks (like Spring Break) that help you learn about political and social community dynamics while becoming a catalyst for collaborative social change. It’s a hands-on mix of service, education and reflection that adds up to life-altering experiences and meaningful change in our communities.
Service-Learning
Service-Learning is a way to connect your classroom to your community. Some courses offer a Service-Learning (SL) component, where you’ll apply course concepts to a community service project.
Service Saturday
Service Saturday is a direct service opportunity for all members of the Boise State community. This is Boise State’s way of providing easily accessible volunteer opportunities to the university community with the help of charitable and non-profit agencies.
