Submitting Absences

Only benefit eligible employees accrue leaveĀ (e.g. vacation and sick).

Benefit eligible hourly employees can submit time off (absences) directly to their time card or they can submit absences in the Add Absence section of Bronco Hub. If using the Add Absence option, once the absence is approved, it will populate on the applicable time card. DO NOT add the same absence(s) in both the Time Card and Absence section of Bronco Hub.

  • If an absence is submitted in advance and the employee ends up working, the employee mustĀ withdraw the submitted / approved absenceĀ before the absence date passes or the leave will be deducted from their accruals. If you forget to update the absence request, you can change the absence to hours worked by editing the time card within 28 days.

Absences must be submitted and approved no later than the Monday following pay period end date. Add this calendar to your calendar view to stay up to date on time entry and approval deadlines.

  • Submitted absences route to your supervisor for approval before routing to the payroll team for processing.
  • If an absence is not submitted and approved by the deadline, your leave balance may be incorrect.

Partial Absence Entry

When entering absences in the Add Absence section, Bronco Hub automatically defaults the absence duration based on your work schedule (eg most employees work 8 hour shifts so the system populates 8 hours for an absence entry). If you need to change the absence duration to a partial, select the Edit button and update the duration as needed.
