Third Korean Language Speech Contest at the Boise State Undergraduate Research Conference

Twelve Korean 102 students participated in the contest, and Dr. Jae-Hyeon Ryu, President of Idaho Korean Association, and Ms. Eun-Young Choi, Coordinator of Idaho Sejong Korean School evaluated contestants and chose the three winners and three honorable mentions. For this event, Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Seattle (Hyung-Jong Lee, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle) sponsored again this contest with three award certificates, and generous prizes for the winners. Particularly from this time, I added three honorable mentions, too, simply because it was painfully hard to pick only three winners!

The contest results are

  • Gold Award (The first place): Danielle Ali
  • Silver Award (The second place): Emily Sanchez
  • Bronze Award (The third place): Eric Marquart
  • Honorable Mention: Ruth Mburu, Emily Baldwin, Phuong Phan
