Catherine Barney (Class of 2014)
Catherine has been living in Berlin since graduating from BSU in 2014. She has since completed a double master’s program in communication and journalism between Berlin, Germany and St. Petersburg, Russia. She currently works for a boutique consulting firm and does freelance work translating journalistic pieces from German to English. Despite Berlin being an international city with many opportunities to get by in English, learning German has been fundamental in launching her career, making lasting friendships, and feeling a sense of home abroad.
