Fatima Cornwall, Spanish language coordinator in the Department of World Languages, will participate in a May 16 webinar organized by the Associação Emigrantes Azores. The webinar will feature mothers and teachers. Cornwall will join Carmen Amaral, a chemistry teacher in the Southeastern Regional School District, and Rosa Neves Simas from the University of the Azores.
The association is dedicating the month of May to mothers. Programs will take place each Sunday on topics including cancer survival and the difficulties of being a mother while holding political office or pursuing a career.
