Nere Lete, professor of Basque in the world languages department, was recently interviewed by Euskal Telebista (Basque television) about her involvement in the Basque community in Boise.

She was asked about her leading role in the creation of the Boise Basque preschool, the only one of its kind outside of the Basque Country and the Boise State University Pulse student radio show, Boiseko Taupada (the Beat of Boise).

This show was created by a Basque studies student as an internship under Lete’s guidance. Many listeners from near and far tuned in for the last four years and enjoyed the latest releases of many new Basque bands. Professor Ziortza Gandarias and Lete conducted the program during the 2020-2021 academic year. They are hoping to relaunch the program once again in fall 2021.
