World languages faculty provide interpretation for children’s book creator series

Fatima Cornwall, clinical assistant professor, and Diana Arbiser, adjunct faculty in the Department of World Languages, were invited by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to provide simultaneous interpretation for the Latin American Children’s Book Creators summer 2021 series.

This series was offered in collaboration with the International Youth Library of Munich, Germany, and UWM Translation and Interpreting Studies. More than 450 people registered for the event, representing over 30
countries from around the world.
