    Master of Economics

I am a master’s student at Boise State University studying economics. My current research examines how presidential influence affects the geographic distribution of competitive grant fundings. I first became interested in political economy as an undergraduate at Boise State University, where I studied political science and economics. In my free time, I enjoy distance running and mountain biking.

This May, I’m graduating with degrees in applied math and economics, with a minor in computer science. This fall, I’ll start graduate school as a joint Ph.D. student in public policy and statistics/data science at Carnegie Mellon University. In my free time, I enjoy podcasts, cooking, and fixing/riding my bicycle. I am honored to be an outstanding graduate and am forever proud to be a part of the department of economics at Boise State.

    General Business

I am majoring in human resource management and general business. Being given this recognition is an honor and I would like to give thanks to Professor Timothy Dunne and Professor Michael McIntyre. Both gave me knowledge that goes beyond what is taught in a textbook and prepared me for life after graduation. Next, I would like to encourage students to apply to the WorkU program. The experience I had in my internship with St. Luke’s Hospital opened an amazing opportunity to grow my skills. My time at Boise State has been remarkable and I am excited for my next chapter.

    Entrepreneurship Management

I am so honored to be selected as a COBE Outstanding Graduate! I’m also so grateful for the many memories I’ve made in the last four years at Boise State, including lessons I’ve learned from faculty members, business & marketing internships, and an incredible semester in France last year. After I graduate with a double major in Entrepreneurial Management and Business Administration, I intend to continue in a business career within the sustainable agriculture field. In my free time, I plan to travel more and continue to learn, even if in a nonacademic setting. I’m excited to see where life takes me after graduation!

    Supply Chain Management

Growing up in different places around the world has helped me appreciate the privilege of receiving a college education and motivated me to take studies and extracurricular learning opportunities seriously. It also instilled me with an interest in international markets and specifically, global supply chains. I believe that this is the most exciting time to be graduating with a supply chain management degree! Besides classes, I have been deeply involved with men’s club soccer and CRU. I am honored to be recognized as an outstanding
graduate and humbled by the influence of all who have made it possible.

It’s a huge honor to be selected as an outstanding graduate. When I moved from Malaysia, the goal was to pursue a higher education in the States, but this makes it feel like I’ve achieved the American dream. This wouldn’t have been possible without the people who have invested in my development. Many thanks to my family, professors, and advisors who have served as an indispensable resource in my journey to becoming a business professional. My time at Boise State has provided me with the opportunity to intern at SMHeuristics, where I plan to continue doing marketing research with after graduation.

As a Boise native, I always had my eyes set on Boise State University. I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Technology Management, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Games, Interactive Media, and Mobile Technology. It was through these programs that I found my place and my future. I would like to thank my family, my friends, and each faculty member that I’ve had the opportunity to work with in my undergraduate career. Without your support I wouldn’t be where I am today. I can’t wait to start giving back by putting my skills to use in our community!

    Master of Accountancy - Taxation

I am a graduate of Boise State’s Master of Science in Accountancy, Taxation program, and have also served as a graduate assistant. Originally from Boise, I earned a PhD in Victorian Literature and taught writing at the University of Southern California and New York University before making my way back home—and to accounting. After graduating in December, I  joined Wilson, Harris & Company, a local tax-focused public accounting firm. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, playing with our three (soon to be four, help us all) kids, and yelling at the dog.

    International Business

I am honored to be named a COBE Outstanding Graduate. Born and raised in Grand Forks, ND, I initially came to Boise State on a tennis scholarship. But International Business professors soon ignited my curiosity in the US-China relationship, particularly increasing economic competition. From offering globally-focused classes to supporting my international internships, COBE professors greatly influenced my academic and career trajectory. I hope to further analyze the US-China relationship and eventually work in US national security establishment. In August 2020, I will pursue my master’s degree in Security Studies at Georgetown University. Thank you, COBE, for your resolute support.

These three and a half years have gone by incredibly fast, and have been filled with great memories and learning experiences. I am honored to be considered as an outstanding graduate. This would never have been possible without the resources provided by Boise State. I was completely unaware of the concept of supply chain management until Bronco Day, and a year later I became a representative for the department, tasked with introducing the major to new business students. I am also minoring in information technology management, and someday soon I hope to utilize my ability to code and query data when developing optimized solutions.

It has been a good three and a half years pursuing my bachelor’s degree, and I am honored to accept this recognition. Having grown up on an island in Southeast Alaska, deciding to attend Boise State University has provided me with vast opportunities. After more than 10 years of taking one or two classes at a time at Boise State and changing my major twice, I will be graduating with a BA degree in economics in December 2019. Taking classes part -time while working and raising a family is not exactly easy, but certainly worthwhile. I hope everyone else that is doing this now knows that the journey of education is always worthwhile. I plan to use my degree to pursue further career interests in data analysis and solving macroeconomic problems and issues.

After four years at Boise State, I will be graduating with a degree in entrepreneurship management. I have loved my time at Boise State, both as part of COBE and of the Boise State Honors College. After graduation, I plan to travel, enjoy the outdoors, and work on writing my in-progress middle-grade fiction novel, while continuing in my current position doing social media marketing and interior design.

First off, I am incredibly thankful to have been selected as an outstanding graduate here at Boise State. I will be graduating Boise State with a degree in finance, as well as a minor in entrepreneurship management. After graduation, I will begin training to become a financial advisor with Edward Jones, and plan on moving back to Washington where I am originally from. Boise State turned out to be a great fit for me, and I have enjoyed my time here in Boise, especially the skiing during winter. Thank you to everyone that impacted my time here, and Go Broncos!

    Supply Chain Management

Coming from India, an opportunity to have higher education in the U.S. was an unrealistic dream. As I graduate, it feels surreal to be walking out with such an honor. I am graduating with a supply chain management degree and currently work as an intern at Micron where I hope to transition into a full-time position. Boise State has made me the person I am with countless gifted experiences and as I step onto the corporate ladder, I will miss the vibe of an academic institution of conceptually looking into a problem and brainstorming solutions. I am immensely thankful to all the faculty members who supported and helped me through all the highs and lows, I believe that without their support my academic and professional experience wouldn’t be meaningful. Ultimately I feel that all the experiences I have had, have shaped me as the person I am today and I will further employ my knowledge to the best of my abilities and live as a striving Bronco forever.

    Information Technology Management

When I took off on my adventure here at Boise State four years ago, I never would have imagined I would have the honor of accepting the Outstanding Graduate Award for Information Technology Management. This accomplishment would never have been possible without the incredible resources provided by Boise State, and the inspirational professors that have shaped me into the young business professional that I am today. I will be graduating with a double major in Supply Chain Management and Information Technology Management, and following graduation, I hope to find a position optimizing Supply Chain Systems. I can confidently say that the future of business lies in IT solutions, and I plan on being at the forefront of this technological revolution!

I am honored to be selected as a Spring 2019 Outstanding General Business Graduate. I will be graduating with a double major in general business and human resource management, and upon graduation will continue working as a Site Director here in Boise. After working for many years in operations, I developed a passion for human resources and the impact this group has in business. I decided to return to school to earn that last set of credits I needed to graduate with both degrees so I could open up my career options. During my time at Boise State, I have gained more knowledge and increased my interest in corporate social responsibility. I have already been able to take what I have learned and incorporate it into my current position. Cheers to all the graduates this semester!

Master of Business Administration - Career Track

It is an honor to be selected as an Outstanding Graduate. I am originally from Grand Rapids, MI and earned a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University. I knew early in my career that I wanted to continue my education and pursue my Master’s in Business Administration. With a passion for the outdoors and a desire to live in the West, I found a perfect fit with the Boise State Career Track MBA Program. I am grateful for this experience and value the relationships I have developed with my cohort and faculty members. Go Broncos!

    Supply Chain Management

I was born and raised in the Treasure Valley, so it just made sense to attend Boise State. My time in Business Professionals of America during high school inspired me to enter business, and my work experience showed me the value of a cohesive supply chain. I currently work at Happy Family part-time and will join them full-time after graduation. My family has recently moved to Salt Lake for a career change, while my husband and I have moved to Nampa. We have two adorable kitties and still love the Treasure Valley. In my spare time I teach piano and voice lessons, read, draw, and take spontaneous weekend adventures to local events and shows. I am honored to be an Outstanding Graduate and look forward to what life holds ahead! Honored Faculty: Christie Fuller

I am honored to be chosen as an outstanding graduate. Getting a bachelor’s degree has always been a goal of mine. I would not have been able to achieve this were it not for the well-constructed distance learning program at Boise State University. I reside in Twin Falls, where my husband and I raise our three children and I have operated an in-home preschool business for 13 years. I am grateful that I had access to the university and for the support of amazing faculty. I look forward to my future and applying all I have learned.  Honored Faculty: John McIntosh
