Install Bronco Print for Mac

Bronco Print wireless printing is available on Mac computers. Your Mac device must be running a current version of macOS to use Bronco Print.

Uninstall Previous Bronco Print Software and Printers

If you installed Bronco Print wireless software on your computer prior to March 22, 2022 you must uninstall that software before proceeding.

Install Bronco Print for Mac

  1. Connect to the eduroam wireless network.
  2. On your Mac, navigate to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  3. Click the + icon under the “Printers” list. The “Add Printer” dialog will display a list of all discovered printers on the network.
  4. Select the printer named broncoprint_bw that appears on the list.
  5. At the bottom of the dialog box, check that “Use” is set to Secure AirPrint. If Secure AirPrint isn’t displayed:
    • Close the “Add” dialog.
    • Disconnect from the eduroam network, then reconnect to it.

6.  Select Add.

7.  Repeat the steps above for the printer named broncoprint_color.

Print with Bronco Print

You must be connected to the eduroam wireless network in order to send a print job to Boise State’s printers.

When you’re ready to print

  1. Select Print from any application. A print dialog box will appear.
  2. Select the printer named broncoprint_bw or broncoprint_color for black and white or color printing.
  3. Click on Print in the dialog box.
  4. Enter your Boise State username and password where indicated.

To pick up your print job

  1. Swipe your Boise State ID card at any Bronco Print location or log in with your Boise State username and password.
  2. On the touch screen, choose Print Release.
  3. Select your print job(s), then select the Print button.

Note that print jobs will only be held at the print release station for two hours.
