Interdisciplinary Professional Studies Admissions

To apply to the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Professional Studies:

Meet with a student success coach to discuss your personal and professional goals and your academic interest areas.
Submit a personal impact statement.

Application Deadlines by Semester

Admission is offered each fall, spring and summer semester. Space is limited, so early application is recommended. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. The priority deadlines to submit materials are:

*Students interested in financial aid are encouraged to apply one month prior to these posted deadlines.

To Apply For This Program

Step 1 – Apply to Boise State University

Before you apply to the interdisciplinary professional studies program, you must be accepted to Boise State University

If you are interested in taking classes on campus and online:

Select your desired delivery method and academic area of interest in the Semester and Major section.

Delivery method: “Primarily on the main campus in Boise, Idaho”
Academic area of interest: “Interdisciplinary Professional Studies BA”

If you are interested in taking classes 100% online:

Select your desired delivery method and academic area of interest in the Semester and Major section.

Delivery method: “Entirely through online delivery”
Academic area of interest (choose one):

“Interdisciplinary Professional Studies Online BA”
“Interdisciplinary Professional Studies, Community and Social Impact Emphasis”
“Interdisciplinary Professional Studies, Cyber Operations Management Emphasis”
“Interdisciplinary Professional Studies, Design and Media Management Emphasis”

Reminder: Students are required to meet with a student success coach before being admitted to the program.

Step 2 – Request Official Transcripts

If you have prior college credits, obtain transcripts through the registrar’s offices of ALL the universities and colleges that you have attended. Have them emailed to Boise State. You can also get a copy for yourself to reference.

If you have served in the military, please make sure to send your Joint Services Transcript and/or Community College of the Air Force transcript.

Step 3 – Submit a Personal Impact Statement

After you are admitted to Boise State University, you will apply to the interdisciplinary professional studies program by submitting a personal impact statement.

This exercise allows you to demonstrate your skill in writing and consider how you will tailor your degree to your personal goals.
