Classes and Scheduling

The online Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Professional Studies, Community and Social Impact Emphasis is a 120-credit program that includes the following:

  • Community and Social Impact Emphasis Courses – 36 to 50 credits. Choose three certificates to complete this credit requirement.
  • Interdisciplinary Professional Studies Courses – 70 to 84 credits. Includes 12 credits of required courses, 28 to 35 credits of electives or transfer credits and 37 credits of University Foundations.

Costs and Scholarships

The community and social impact emphasis is only available to students who are taking classes 100% online. Students who take classes 100% online pay $375 per credit during the 2023-24 academic year. Future academic year per-credit fees may vary slightly and are finalized each May.

Other potential expenses may include a personal computer, books, webcam, headphones with mic, and internet access — all of which are required for the online program.

Students applying to this program are encouraged to apply for scholarships to help fund their education.

Notice to Boise State and other Idaho higher education employees: Fee waivers do not apply to the community and social impact emphasis.
