Is there an application fee waiver?
The Online MBA program offers an application fee waiver if you have not yet submitted your application. Contact a student success coach prior to submitting your application to receive your waiver.
My GPA is lower than the requirement. What are my options?
Applicants with a 2.75-3.00 GPA may be considered for provisional admission. If your GPA in your last two years (60 credits) of study is better than an overall cumulative, the higher GPA will be considered.
Applicants with a GPA lower than 2.75 are considered case-by-case and must show significant work experience. Talk to a student success coach to see if you may qualify.
Why does the program require 2 years of experience?
Our curriculum is built for professionals with at least two years of managerial work experience, with a student average of 8 years of managerial work experience. Entering the program with experience makes the curriculum as relevant and applicable as possible. Many of our courses ask you to draw upon past professional examples or to apply learning on the job in a current role.
Your cohort will be filled with individuals from different backgrounds and roles, giving you exposure to a wide variety of roles, industries and organizations to learn from one another.
The Online MBA emphasizes leadership development. Your prior leadership responsibilities and experiences are essential to grow as a manager and a professional in the program.
Does my work experience count?
To qualify for two years of significant, full-time work experience, you should have experience managing people, budgets and customer accounts beyond a basic supervisory level. For example, roles where applicants have been responsible for hiring/firing, company training, fiscal management and/or contract negotiations would typically qualify.
What if I haven’t decided when I want to start?
When you’re applying, we recommend you select the earliest start option you’re considering. You can always push your start to a future session. If you’ve applied and haven’t received a decision yet, you can request a start-date change through your student success coach.
