Boise State University maintains one warehouse for storage of materials in support of the university’s educational mission. The warehouse is used for three main storage functions:
- Storage – Items stored at Gage Warehouse will be charged an annual fee. Palletized items can be stored on a storage rack, or the items can be stored on the floor. There is a locked storage area for records retention. You can submit a storage request through iService Desk (must be connected to VPN if off-campus).
Floor Storage: $11.00 per square foot, per year
Storage Rack: $140 per pallet, per year
Retrieval fee, for moving items to and from storage: $50 per hour
Charges will be collected on an annual basis beginning at intake and prorated based on fiscal year.
- Record Retention and Document Disposal Requests – Record Retention forms, which can be purchased form the Boise State Print Shop, must be completed and taped securely to the outside of each box. You must use a bankers box measuring 12″ x 10″ x 15″ and the box lids must be taped closed. You can submit a record retention request through iService Desk (must be connected to VPN if off-campus).The charge for all boxes is $4.00 per box, per year for storage and $5.00 per box for a destruction fee. As part of warehouse storage of critical items, an annual disposal of record archives is done in accordance with state laws and Boise State University Policy 1020. To ensure compliance with required standards, a NAID certified company is used for disposal.
- Surplus Reissue of Used Office Furniture – Used university-owned office furniture (desks, chairs, shelves, file cabinets, tables, etc.) is available for reissue. Please visit the warehouse between 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Wednesday to select pieces. Surplus items can be picked up and stored in the warehouse free of charge but delivery fees may apply. Please see our chargeback rates for more information.
