Spring 2024 Programs

Visit the Browse Curriculum web page to view the Osher Institute’s Spring 2024 semester programs.

Many Spring 2024 programs will be offered as a hybrid of both in person and livestream via Zoom and recorded. Some programs will be in person only, livestream only, or livestream/recorded only.
Members will receive an email reminder one hour before a presentation begins. These emails contain the Zoom Webinar link. Multi-session short courses will have a new link sent for each class session.
Members registered for each presentation will receive a link to the recorded program a few days after the final session. Members may view the recordings at their leisure, as often as they like, through June 30, 2024.
Livestream registration will close seven days prior to the presentation’s start date.
Links to recorded Osher Institute programs are only for current Osher members.

Spring 2024 Memberships

The Osher Institute membership fee for the Spring 2024 semester is $45.

Your spring membership (valid January 1, 2024-June 30, 2024) includes:

Access to register for in-person and livestream/recorded programs — many at no additional cost.
Link to recorded presentations for which you are registered — view these at your leisure through June 30, 2024.
Subscription to the monthly e-newsletter, Osher News.
Access to archived recordings of Osher programs.
Access to Special Interest Groups (SIGs) at no additional charge.
Guest passes good for one livestreamed or recorded lecture.

As a member, you will also be invited to all Osher Institute events and the monthly Casual Coffee Social. You can renew your membership now on the Log In/Register Online page.

Archived Programs

If you missed out on a great program that was offered in an earlier semester, you now have an opportunity to enjoy these programs at your leisure. Simply select the recorded presentation that you wish to view and a link will be provided in your confirmation email. Recorded programs may be viewed anytime and as often as you wish through June 30, 2024.

Spring 2024 Collette Travel Information Session Recording

On January 18, 2024, Andy Boone hosted an online preview of upcoming trips hosted by Collette Travel that are available for Osher members. The session includes information about Countryside of the Emerald Isle (October 13-22, 2024), European Christmas Markets (December 12-20, 2024), and Kingdoms of Southeast Asia (January 16-February 3, 2025).

Spring 2024 Semester Policies and Registration

Guest Policy

We are providing current Osher members one guest pass valid for a livestream or recorded session. Simply contact the Osher office at (208) 426-6554 or osher@boisestate.edu and provide your guest’s name and email address, as well as the name of the program they will attend.

Emergency Cancellation Policy

If the Osher Institute must cancel a presentation, members will be notified by email no later than 90 minutes before class time.
Please note: If Boise State University closes, the Osher Institute also will close.

Register Online in 6 Easy Steps

Online registration opened on Tuesday, December 12. This is the preferred method of registration. To register, visit the Log In/Register Online page.

Step 1: Create an Account

If you are brand new to the Osher Institute, you will need to create an account before purchasing a membership and registering for programs. Visit the Log In/Register Online page and click on “Create Account.” Follow the instructions on that page to establish your account.

Step 2: Become a Member

After you create your account, you will be directed back to the Osher registration page. Now that you are logged in to your account, you can purchase a membership.

Step 3: Select Programs

All lectures and courses that have yet to begin are located underneath the membership selection. Check the boxes of the programs for which you are interested in registering.

Step 4: Sign Consent Form

You must sign the waiver of liability and photo release before you are able to proceed to the checkout. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Osher office at (208) 426-6554.

Step 5: Proceed to Checkout

Click “Proceed to Checkout” to review your order and access the payment portal. DO NOT click “Cancel and Log Off.” All your selections will be erased if you do so.

Step 6: Review Order and Check Out

On this page, you can review the programs for which you have been enrolled and/or waitlisted. Continue to the bottom of the page to enter your personal information, and then click on “Submit Order.” You will be directed to the payment portal where you can enter your credit card information. Click “Continue” at the bottom of the page for your payment information to be submitted.

Paper Registration

Mail paper registration forms to the Osher Institute at 220 E. Parkcenter Blvd., Boise, ID 83706. Envelopes containing paper registration forms will remain sealed and securely stored until processed in the order in which they are received.

Phone Registration

Phone registration opened on Tuesday, December 12. To phone in your registration, please call Customer Services at (208) 426-1709.

Registration Receipts

After you register, you will receive an email receipt listing the programs for which you have been successfully enrolled. Please keep this email! If you would like a new copy of your registration confirmation, please contact Customer Services at (208) 426-1709.
