How long have you served on the Advisory Board?

About 3 years.

Are you part of any committees? If so, what is your role?

I am a member of the Track 4 Curriculum Committee.

What is your most memorable Osher Institute experience?

I am a frequent presenter of short courses. I enjoy putting the courses together as well as presenting.

Favorite Osher presentation you have attended thus far?

There are many, but the astronaut presentation with Steve Swanson was just one example of a lecture that thrilled me.

Are you a Boise native? If not, where are you originally from?

No, I moved here from Malaysia after retiring from the CIA. Born and raised in Wisconsin.

What is your career history?

Intelligence analyst with the CIA (1973-2000); Boise Schools teacher (2002-2014).

What hobbies do you enjoy?

I am an avid reader and enjoy tennis, cycling, skiing, and swimming. I am also a coin collector!

What are you doing to occupy your time during the stay-at-home order?

Currently, I am working on my next short course entitled, “The Threat of Global Conflict in the 21st Century.”
