The Personal Writing Special Interest Group (SIG) welcomes the opportunity to share selected works of its members.
This month’s featured writing is from SIG member Tom Baerwald: Conversations From a Neighborhood App.
Tom is a geographer who spent most of his professional career working at the National Science Foundation in the Washington, D.C. area. Since retiring and moving to Idaho, he has become active at the Osher Institute. Currently, he serves on the Advisory Board and chairs the natural sciences and environment curriculum track committee. Tom says his engagement with other in the Personal Writing SIG has improved his creative writing. Conversations From a Neighborhood App is his first fictional foray in decades.
