Boise State AmeriCorps Program

In 2018, Boise State University’s Service-Learning Program was awarded an AmeriCorps grant to start a new literacy initiative in the Boise area in collaboration with Serve Idaho.

Nationally, AmeriCorps provides thousands of opportunities to give back in an intentional way to communities. Each opportunity is a catalyst of incredible change in your life and in the lives of the people around you.

Through collaboration with schools, nonprofits, and government agencies, the Boise State AmeriCorps program is committed to supporting literacy for elementary school children and increasing capacity within nonprofits.

This program currently serves underserved communities in the Boise Independent School District, Boise Independent School District students at large, and nonprofits in the Treasure Valley.
