SL Basics & Resources

Service-Learning is a way to connect your classroom to your community. Courses with a Service-Learning (SL) component offer students an opportunity to apply course concepts to a community service project and to critically reflect on this experience.

As an SL student, you may encounter bumps along the way. The Service-Learning staff want to support you so you can have a positive learning experience.

THE SL STAFF CAN HELP YOU WITH…

  • Registering for a project (especially on Bronco Impacts)
  • Accessing and completing student forms
  • Questions about orientations
  • Scheduling service times
  • Resolving a conflict/misunderstanding with a service site
  • Consultation on other service-related opportunities

Some questions already have answers on the Student FAQs page.

The Service-Learning Program office is in Riverfront Hall 304 or you can contact Service-Learning staff at 208-426-1004 or servicelearning@boisestate.edu.
