Financial Wellness FAQs

Important Tips:

  1. Important university information and reminders are sent to your BroncoMail account. It is your responsibility to check it frequently.
  2. Always review your Class Schedule and Student Account in the Student Center on my.boisestate.edu to confirm that you have completed intended transactions including drops.
  3. Retain copies of transactions for your records. Some transactions can take two or more business days to adjust on your student account.
  4. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) is a federal law to protect student records. A Release of Information form must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office authorizing third party access to student information.

How do I remove my Financial Agreement hold?

In your Student Center, click on the Tasks tile. Students must review their contact information and agree to the financial agreement each semester. Review your addresses and phone numbers and read the Financial Responsibility Agreement carefully. Click Finish and you will be eligible to enroll in the new semester.

How do I add a payer?

In your Student Center, click on the Make A Payment link on the Student Financials tile. Note: If you do not click exactly on the words, you will be taken to the Student Financials module. From there, click Charges Due then Make a Payment. Make sure to disable the popup blocker in your browser settings. Our Payment center will open in a new tab or window. Select “My Account” then “send payer invitation” and enter the email address of the person you are authorizing. The new authorized user will receive an email informing them on how to log into their account.

How do I set up a payment plan for tuition?

In your Student Center, click on the Student Financials tile. On the left menu, click on Enroll in Payment Plan, review the installments and select Next. Review the terms and conditions and, if you agree, check the agreement box and select Enroll.

How do I make a payment?

In your Student Center, click on Make A Payment link on the Student Financials Note: If you do not click exactly on the words, you will be taken to the Student Financials module. From there, click Charges Due then Make a Payment. Make sure to disable the popup blocker in your browser settings if nothing happens when you click on the link. Our Payment center will open in a new tab or window. You may pay by term or by line item. Select the option you prefer and enter any amount you wish to pay, up to the total due, then click Continue. Select the payment method from the drop-down box.

Where do I send checks (mailing address)?

The 1246 is imperative to direct mail to the Student Financial Services office. On your check please include: Student ID number and designate which charges are to be paid.

How do I get funds out of a 529?

Many 529 payments may be made through our payment center accessed through the Student Account. If your savings plan is not listed there, please contact your plan provider directly and ask them to send a payment to Boise State University. Please include the student’s name and ID number in the memo line of the payment, and specify if it is to be used for certain charges.

How do I set up Direct Deposit to receive refunds?

In your Student Center, click on the Student Financials tile and on the left menu, click Direct Deposit Access. Click on the Student Refund button to add an account for direct deposit of those funds. Confirm your identity by entering your birth date information and the last FIVE digits of your Social Security Number. Click Enroll in Direct Deposit and enter your bank account information. (Contact your bank to verify your routing and account numbers). Agree to the terms of the direct deposit and then click Submit.

Will I get a refund if I cancel a class?

You are reserving a space in a class and are responsible for all fees assessed unless you drop your classes within the designated refund period. You should check the Academic Calendar Deadlines from your class schedule to determine refund periods.

Bills, Due Dates and Late Fees:

You will receive a monthly e-mail reminder if you have a balance on your account. You may incur a late fee at the rate of $10 or 1.75% of the past due amount per month. Holds preventing registration will be placed on your student account and cannot be removed until past due balances are paid in full. Past due accounts may be sent to an outside collection agency subject to additional collection and/or legal fees.
