Probation Advising Hold
The Academic Development and Recovery (ADR) team manages the Probation Advising required (RPA) hold which prevents registration. An RPA hold will appear on your Student Center for the following reasons:
RPA Holds
- You have been reinstated to Boise State. This hold will be lifted after meeting with an ADR advisor and your academic advisor.
- You must schedule a reinstatement follow-up appointment with your ADR advisor.
- You need to complete Bronco Rebound.
- You have been reinstated multiple times and need to complete your ACAD 102/academic coaching requirement.
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Hold
Students must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards to maintain eligibility for financial aid funds. SAP monitors your academic performance at the end of each semester in three categories:
SAP Holds
- GPA
- PACE
- Maximum Time
If you fail to meet any of these standards, you will see a SAP Hold on your Student Center. This hold will not prevent registration, but it will prevent you from receiving federal financial aid.
ADR advisors can assist students in submitting an appeal to the Financial Aid Office to request their eligibility for federal financial aid to be restored. There is no guarantee that the appeal will be approved.
