What is the ambitious goal of this project?

To generate a research program that evaluates the efficacy of counter partisanship programming, particularly the programming of the Institute for Advancing American Values.

Experience Gained

Students will explore both the theory of change utilized by various counter partisanship programming, and the research methods used to evaluate such programming.

A general interest in counter partisanship programming. Preference offered to Institute for Advancing American Values (IAAV) undergraduate fellows and graduate students.

VIP Coach Information

Isaac Castellano, the Associate Director of the Institute for Advancing American Values, is a political scientist interested in how contact theory informs efforts to combat partisanship in 21st century America.

Course Information

VIPĀ  200, VIP 400 or VIP 500
Full semester course. Choose to enroll in 1 or 2 credits.
Team meetings: In-person, Friday, 12 to 2:45 p.m.
