Tuition Assistance by Branch
Our team has expertise on military education benefits for every branch. Funding limitations, eligibility requirements and deadlines all vary by branch. Select the tab with your branch to view deadlines and basic information for using TA.
It’s always a good idea to meet with a counselor at your base’s Education Center to discuss your goals and explore education options. When creating a TA request, you will be required to upload one or both of the following documents:
Remember to upload each approved TA Award Authorization online so that we can process your funding. We recommend bookmarking this page for easy access!
Air Force and Space Force
Airmen and Guardians use their Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC) to request Tuition Assistance. You are permitted to request TA between 45 and 7 days prior to the first day of course instruction. You are also required to attend a TA-101 brief at your Education Center and get one-on-one counseling before being able to request TA.
Students in the Air National Guard who are not on active orders are not eligible for federal Tuition Assistance. Speak with your base education or benefits counselor about State TA (SEAP) as soon as possible.
