The courses listed on the tables are meant as a guide for students to start completing the requirements to apply to chiropractic schools in the U.S. Students should meet regularly with their academic and pre-health advisors to ensure progress.

2. Build your network and begin reflection of experiences
3. Participate in Student Involvement activities and start getting to know your advisors and instructors (especially science)
4. Select a major if you are going to earn a bachelor’s degree and identify academic admission requirements based on your schools

Is there a degree that is required or recommended?

There is no specific required degree for chiropractic schools. You can major and graduate in Anything. Students who tend to choose an efficient route will often pursue Kinesiology or Health Studies. However, there is no right or wrong degree.

Is there an admissions test for Chiropractic school?

Most chiropractic schools DO NOT have an admissions test. However, you will want to check with the school(s) you plan to apply to.

What is the difference between chiropractors and physical therapists?

Chiropractors focus on pain related to the back, neck, joints, and head. They believe that the body will heal itself through adjustment and manipulation of the spine, while a physical therapist is also focused on pain management. Their focus is on how the body functions and moves as a whole unit. Physical therapists heal by teaching their patients to stretch and exercise rather than manipulation and adjustment.
