We are well on our way to having Monsido ready for you to use. Here are some things to keep in mind as we finalize the setup.
Fine-tuning crawl settings
As information is returned from the crawl, we’ve noticed some things that need to be adjusted so we have a more accurate picture. For this reason, you may see some of the following in your reports:
- Broken image links in panels that aren’t broken; we are working with Monsido to resolve this issue.
- Misspellings that were ignored in Siteimprove but didn’t carry over to the dictionary export; we will need to re-add these words to the Monsido dictionary.
- Accessibility issues related to the WordPress theme; these are not issues but require manual review to mark as OK, we are working through these issues.
- Content policies; not all policies have been added from Siteimprove yet, these will be updated over the next few weeks.
Accessing Monsido
Single Sign-On (SSO) is configured and working, which means you will use your Boise State username and password to access Monsido.
You can add a link to your Services menu in your myBoiseState Employee view to access Monsido, visit boisestate.edu/webguide/monsido, or you can save the link in your browser.
You may access the platform now, but please be aware of the issues we’ve mentioned. You will encounter more issues than are actually present on your site. We will have more accurate reporting information soon as we continue to work to stabilize the system.
We’ve added a new section to Webguide called Monitoring with Monsido. Here you’ll find information about accessing and using the platform. We’ll update details as we know them. Check back for more information.
Scan Reports and Training
If you’ve requested a Monsido account, then you may also have received scan reports. Please keep in mind these reports are problematic at this time but will become more accurate as we adjust the crawl settings over the next couple of weeks.
We’ve scheduled a series of group trainings with Monsido. These are designed to be quick overviews with time for questions.
