Lost Interlibrary Loans?

Interlibrary loan items are considered lost with the third overdue notice and the borrower’s account will be blocked. Once the borrowed material is returned, the borrower’s account will be unblocked.

If they are allowed by the lending library, renewals can be requested three days before the due date. The request can be submitted through the ILL system or by calling the ILL office at (208) 426-1163. The lending library determines the new date.

Responsibilities of the Borrower

The individual borrower is responsible for any damage to or loss of ILL materials. The library will email overdue notices to the borrower once the item is past its due date. With the third overdue notice or after 30 days, the item is considered lost and the borrower’s account will be blocked. Materials are for the borrower’s personal use only. Because of copyright and ILL code regulations, it is never advisable to obtain ILL materials for group use (i.e. – for Reserves, seminars, labs, classes, or committees).

We are unable to borrow current textbooks.

Turn-around Time?

Please plan ahead. Articles can take up to three days to receive and books may take 2 weeks or longer. Every effort is made to meet the borrower’s “date needed by.”

Who Can Use The Service?

Currently enrolled Boise State University graduate and undergraduate students, and currently employed Boise State University staff and faculty (including Emeritus and Adjunct) are eligible for ILL services at Albertsons Library.
