Unable to connect to eduroam?
Connecting to the eduroam wireless network at Boise State University requires the annual installation of a security certificate.
Problems may arise if a device previously connected to eduroam without following the recommended process.
Troubleshooting connection issues
Phones and personal computers
- “Forget” the eduroam network on your device.
- Reconnect to the internet (phones can use a cellular network to reconnect, while computers can use the Bronco-Guest network or a wired connection).
- Follow the steps on “Connect to the eduroam Wireless Network” to complete the certificate installation.

University-owned computers
macOS
- “Forget” the eduroam network.
- Connect to eduroam.
- Enter your Boise State credentials (username and password) when prompted.
- Accept the new certificate that is offered.
- Provide Admin credentials on your Mac.
If these steps fail, reconnect to the internet (phones can use a cellular network to reconnect, while computers can use the Bronco-Guest network or a wired connection), then follow the steps on “Connect to the eduroam Wireless Network” to complete the certificate installation.

Windows
- “Forget” the eduroam network.
- Restart your computer.
- Rejoin eduroam (the certificate will automatically update).
