Like everyone on campus, our Web Accessibility Team is working hard to update systems and resources to better support you. Learn what’s new and explore available resources.
In the spring, we migrated from Siteimprove to Monsido.
Monsido offers offers accurate reporting on content quality assurance and accessibility, and brings a variety of features such as built-in integration for third-party document remediation services and updated training to keep on top of evolving ADA compliance requirements.
New Document Accessibility Resources
We understand the challenges of creating accessible documents and have two new resources available to assist you:
1. Create, Distribute, and Maintain Accessible Documents
We’ve published a manual with tips and resources for building accessibility into your document creation process. Use these tips for your next project to create a more accessible document.
2. Document Accessibility Review Form
In addition to following the steps to create an accessible document, the OIT Web Accessibility Team can perform an accessibility review prior to your document being published online. Review times may vary depending on how complex the document is, so plan ahead accordingly.
The Web Accessibility Team now has drop-in appointments available. If you have questions about accessibility and need some additional help and guidance, we’re here to support you!
Reorganized Accessibility Resources
There is a wealth of information and available on Webguide about accessibility. However, over time they became a bit disorganized. We’ve given the pages a refresh and hope the content is now easier to find and use!
