Boise State’s Web Tools and Remediation Accessibility Micro-Certification Badge course is available to university faculty and staff in both cohort and self-paced options for 2021.
This micro-certification supports users in web administrator or web editor roles at Boise State and the requirements of Boise State University policies 8140, 8040, and 1075. This course introduces you to the topic of Web Tools and Remediation and provides the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to:
- Identify web accessibility requirements
- Write alternative text descriptions
- Troubleshoot and remediate accessibility errors
- Publish accessible web content in WordPress
- Articulate the needs for accessible web content at Boise State University
Cohort Options Available
The cohort option is ideal for users who want to stay on a set schedule to complete the course. This option includes weekly reminders and one-on-one assistance as needed. Cohorts complete task in eight weeks and there are eight sections to choose from:
- January 18th – March 12th
- February 8th – April 2nd
- March 1st – April 23rd
- May 24th – July 16th
- June 14th – August 13th
- September 6th – October 29th
- September 27th – November 19th
- October 18th – December 17th

Self-Paced Options Available
The self-paced option is ideal for users who want additional flexibility to complete the course. This option includes occasional reminders and one-on-one assistance as needed. Self-paced participants can start anytime and have three sections to choose from:
- Spring – January 1st through May 31st
- Summer – June 1st through August 31st
- Fall – September 1st through December 31st
