…empowers students to achieve their academic goals by providing educational events, support services and a safe place. Student staff create co-curricular events focused on preventing violence and learning about issues related to gender and sexual orientation, including: body image, intersections of identities, LGBTQIA+ identities, allyship, healthy relationships, consent, masculinity, and much more. Professional staff are available to conduct interactive classroom sessions on any of these topics or special topics by request. Licensed Master Social Workers provide no-cost, confidential crisis support, resources, and referrals for campus members experiencing a variety of life issues. Specialty areas for support include LGBT identity, sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. Third parties are also welcome to access resources, referrals and information.
